Hello All,

Being new to openerp. I am evaluating the windows All in one version 6.1(latest).
I have also installed the client for it.
In the process of that I need to install product_variant_multi module.
I searched google for installation of a new module but did not find anything for version 6.1 on how to install a new module.
But somehow I thought of doing a trick. I went to OpenERP 6.1-1\server\openerp\addons directory in my windows installation and copied the content of the unzipped folder of product_variant_multi module there. After that I restarted the server to check if the module is shown there but it doesn't.
Can anybody tell me the process of installing a new module in the latest version on windows.
Please help.

Thanks & Regards
Gaurav Bhasin

import module is generally a good option for importing a module.

alternatively the way you did it is fine, but you then need to update modules list.

sorry, its not there anymore, was in 6.0. To be honest I never really used it for about 1 year. Basically it did what you just did manually.

No issues Graeme. My objective is achieved if even if I have to do it manually.
Thanks for the info.
