hello All,

I am at my first attempts installing OpenERP, and I am a bit confused.

I prepared an Ubuntu server 11.10 from scratch, installed Postgres, and dpkg -i the v6.1 .deb file.

The server is running, but I kind of expected to find it installed in /opt, but there is nothing inside excepting for the openerp user home I created in advance.

I can do it all over, no problem, but would like to understand what have I done wrong.

thanks for reading,
-Gian

Done nothing wrong. The .deb installs the files into /usr/share/pyshared/openerp
I suppose what would be considered the main 'executable' is /usr/bin/openerp-server
